Postdoctoral Position in Statistics at the University of Colorado Denver

The Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences at the University of Colorado Denver expects to have one post-doctoral position in Statistics for up to 2 years starting in Fall 2009, pending final budgetary approval. The Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences currently has 17 tenured or tenure-track faculty whose research and teaching cover a wide range of areas, including statistics; probability; optimization and operations research; computational biology; computational and engineering mathematics; discrete mathematics, finite geometry, and combinatorics. In particular, our statistics faculty have expertise for methods in the areas of genetics, genomics and social science and would welcome new collaborations. In addition to research, the post-doctoral position carries a teaching load of two classes per semester.
