新加坡南洋理工招聘博后

We are looking for strongly motivated postdoctoral research fellows to carry out a multi-million dollar project (funded by Singapore National Research Foundation at Nanyang Technological University), which is on the cutting-edge research in nanomaterials, nanoelectronics and nanoelectronic-bio interface for single molecule biosensing. Due to the highly interdisciplinary nature of the project, candidates with a Ph.D. degree in experimental condensed matter physics, electronic engineering, chemistry (physical or polymer), biochemistry and biophysics are all encouraged to apply. Starting date is flexible and multiple positions are available. Here are some specific expertises we are looking for: 1. Synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials (semiconductor nanocrystals, nanowires, carbon nanotubes or metallic nanostructures); 2. Optical properties of nanomaterials by photoluminescence, Raman scattering spectroscopy, etc.; 3. Surface plasmonics of metallic nanostructures and discrete dipole approximation (DDA) calculation 4. Transmission electron microscopy and related techniques, such as SAD, EDX, EELS, STEM, etc. 5. Microfabrication and nanofabrication (photolithography, e-beam lithography, wet or dry etching, metallization, etc.); 6. Characterization and measurement of nanoelectronic devices, e.g., low temperature transport; 7. Single molecule biophysics (polyelectrolyte, DNA, protein, etc.), any biosensing related experience; 8. Electrophysiology using patch-clamp either on single ion channel or whole cell level; 9. Hands-on experiences on building equipment (e.g., vacuum, mechanical design etc.), Lab-View/Lab-Windows programming is a plus. We also have several Ph.D. student scholarships available for this fall semester, which will cover all of your tuition and expenses during your Ph.D. study.
