The UNSW Scientia PhD Scholarship provides the candidate the following: • $40K a year stipend for four years. • Tuition fees covered for the full 4 year period. • Supervision panel with coaching and mentoring for highly personalised leadership development plan. • Up to $10k each year to support your international research collaborations and build your career. An exciting opportunity is available now at UNSW Canberra, the Canberra campus of UNSW to develop a novel design of a bridge deck system under the UNSW Scientia PhD scheme. The project has a very strong supervision panel with three researchers with excellent research and supervising experience. We are now looking for a high profile PhD candidate to work with us for this project. The candidate will be expected to have a strong Civil/Structural Engineering background with excellent academic records. The applicant must have the equivalent of a first-class honours degree from UNSW, and a Master degree or postgraduate study is desired. Relevant research experience on Structural Engineering/Construction and building materials/ numerical modelling is desired but not essential. The application must have satisfied the minimum English requirement for UNSW admission. Both IELTS and TOELF are accepted. For IELTS the minimum requirements are overall 6.5 with minimum 6.0 in each subtest. For TOEFL, the minimum requirement is 90 overall with minimum 23 in writing, 22 in reading, listening and speaking.
