The chaotic behavior in the model makes it difficult for researchers to estimate the spreads trend of the disease. Therefore, an adaptive method is employed to control the chaotic behavior in the model, and then, some suggestions on the prevention and treatment strategies of the diseases are proposed through analyzing the control results. In addition, the following two conclusions are obtained: (1) the control measures on the single group can only drive the trends of the seasonal epidemics from chaos state into periodic behavior, but not the disease-free state; (2) it cannot obtain a more optimized control results to add the number of the groups which are exerted control strategies.
