[交流] Research Assistant Position in CSCE Department at University of Arkansas已有2人参与

Dr. Yarui Peng in the Computer Science and Computer Engineering Department at University of Arkansas, Fayetteville is seeking diligent and self-motivated Ph.D. students starting Fall 2017. Dr. Peng received his B.S. degree from Tsinghua University, and M.S. degree and Ph.D. in School of Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. His research interests are in the areas of computer-aided design, analysis, and optimization for emerging technologies and systems, such as 2.5D and 3D ICs, high band-gap power electronics and systems, and high-efficiency digital designs and memory systems. He also works with the new $18.5 million NSF-sponsored Engineering Research Center for Power Optimization of Electro-Thermal Systems (POETS-erc.org).

Our research, in collaboration with Distinguished Professor Dr. Alan Mantooth in Electrical Engineering Department, tries to address both electrical and thermal issues altogether before the Multi-Chip Power Module (MCPM) layout is finalized. An automated tool is developed to further enrich the layout synthesis capability by introducing new algorithms and novel optimization methods for MCPM parasitic extraction, thermal modeling, heterogeneous integration, and reliability enhancement. We also investigate automated process and design rule checking, process design kit development, and memorialized software architecture platform to create a standard MCPM design tool flow. This project also requires collaborations among other faculties and students from Uark, UIUC, Stanford and Howard, as well as industry liaisons from Toyota, Wolfspeed, Deere, Caterpillar etc. For more information, please refer to POETS website: https://poets-erc.org/.

This research assistant position includes a monthly stipend of $1650 and a tuition waiver. Interested students with solid backgrounds in VLSI circuit, computer aided design, modeling and optimization algorithms, and power electronics are encouraged to apply.
