关于纽约大学（NYU）phd奖学金（The Henry M. Maccracken Program）的具体疑问 已有1人参与

今天收到了邮件，来自纽约大学的offer~ 非常感谢大家之前的鼓励，真的，没有大家虫友的鼓励，我当时都要被自己的自卑完全击溃无法继续申请了…… 原贴： http://muchong.com/bbs/viewthread.php?tid=10754876 嗯……回归正题： 邮件里对于该奖学金的介绍： Description of Your MacCracken Fellowship Package As a MacCracken Fellow, you will receive a comprehensive and innovative financial aid package for the four-year term of your award. This includes: 1. A scholarship to meet the tuition, registration, and service fees for your degree program. 2. Full coverage of the premiums for mandatory NYU student health insurance for an individual under the comprehensive plan. 3. Full support for the nine-month academic year during the term of your MacCracken funding. It will either be a fellowship or research assistantship of $27,526 in 2017-18. 4. A one-time $1,000 Dean’s Supplementary Fellowship Grant that may be used at your discretion. This grant is intended to provide support for your start-up research and educational expenses such as books, academic supplies, and computer equipment. 5. A waiver of maintenance of matriculation fees, registration and services fees, and the insurance premiums for NYU student health insurance for two years immediately following the award period, if you have not completed the degree 我的疑惑在于： 1. 一般phd不是读五年吗？这个四年的意思是什么？难道第五年自费？（说好的全奖呢呜呜呜。。。我没钱啊） 2. 每年27,526美金只有一年（2017-18学年）有吗？剩下几年呢？ 3. 美国学校奖学金一般怎么发放的呢？每年开始打卡里？还是之后再发？会不会出现要交税什么之类的然后不够用这种乌龙…… |

一般按月发或者半个月发一次;RA的话交税是肯定的，第一年是fellowship的话一般不交税;不够用不至于，但是ny生活成本很高;确保四年的funding已经很好了一般都只有第一年，正常情况下后面不管几年funding一般都从老师的research grant里面来的，这种一般要交税 发自小木虫Android客户端 |
