The TRUE lab (http://truelab.ou.edu/) invites applications for multiple Graduate Assistantships in Biomedical Imaging Instrumentation in Fall 2017. The TRUE (Theranostics with Radiation-induced Ultrasound Emission) lab focuses on the development of ultrasound-based imaging techniques with new contrast mechanisms including photoacoustic nanoscopy, X-ray acoustic computed tomography (XACT), Proton acoustic tomography (pCT) and other radiation induced acoustic emission for imaging and therapy. Please find more information on our website: http://truelab.ou.edu/. We are located at Stephenson Research & Technology Center at The University of Oklahoma. We work closely with The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, and with the Radiation Oncology Department at Stanford University. We offer an exceptional environment for scholars who want to further their skills, and many opportunities to engage in cutting-edge research. Desirable applicants for Graduate Assistantship should have BS or above degrees in Electric Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or other related fields, and strong motivation to do high quality research in novel biomedical imaging modalities, especially medical instrumentation. Previous research experiences in related fields and scientific publications in journals/conferences are preferred. The positions are available immediately and will remain open until filled.
