这段审稿意见怎么理解呢

"Therefore, it is natural to question how to analyze the relationship between ... and ... according to their properties" is supposed to justify one of the two hierarchies introduced. But "to analyze the relationship between..." is precisely what needs to be justified as a natural research topic/question. It does not seem sufficient, at least to me, to say that "it is a natural question". The other hierarchy is introduced in an even more obscure way: "To facilitate comparison, we identify another family of canonical languages called..." So, exaggerating a bit, the reader is left with hierarchy#1 and hierarchy#2 (the former justified as self-evidently natural and interesting, the latter justified because it helps analyzing the former) and with this piece of information is supposed to embark in the following long, involved technical development. 这段话怎么理解呢，他是在教我怎么写吗？ |
