The Tb-doping effects on the structure, morphology, and magnetic properties of SmFeO3 have been studied in detail. Pure phase SmFeO3 was obtained when calcinated at 900 degrees C for 3 h. By Tb doping, the synthesis temperature of orthorhombic perovskite-type Sm1-xTbxFeO3 powder increased to 1100 degrees C.
