6.课题组介绍
We are offering PhD projects for highly motivated and qualified students interested in the fields of Nano-Plasmonics and Magnetism-Magneto Optics.
We study complex nano-systems formed by building blocks with Plasmonic, Magneto-Optic and/or Magneto-Resistive properties. The proper design of the interrelation between these properties allows outstanding magnetic field control of light matter interaction at the nanoscale, with potential interest in areas such as sensing and telecommunications.
The infrastructure available for the realization of the Thesis includes: common instruments in clean room, UHV-MBE deposition systems, XRD and AFM, TMOKE loopers, Spectroscopic Ellipsometer, optical and MO spectrometers (0.4–12 microns) for complete optical and MO characterization.
The student will have the chance to attend to international conferences to present his/her results and increase his/her expertise. A CSC funded Chinese student is currently finishing his PhD in our group.
The candidates must hold a degree in Physics, Materials Science or related Engineering, and must possess excellent grades and English communication skills.
