The laboratory of Dr. Vivien Wang is currently recruiting both PhD students and Postdoctoral Fellow to conduct related projects. The major responsibilities include (1) X-ray structural study of NF-??B, I??B and DNA complexes; (2) biochemical and biological studies to provide greater functional understanding of these macromolecules; and (3) crystallization of other related proteins.

In this laboratory we use our knowledge and experience in the area of biochemistry, structural biology, cellular and molecular biology to study the functions and mechanisms of important molecules focusing on their biological functions. The major focus of the current research involves understanding the signal transduction mediated by the nuclear factor kappaB (NF-??B) and I??B proteins. The mammalian Rel/NF-??B family of transcription factors plays a critical role in diverse physiological processes including the immune response, inflammation, cell proliferation and survival. A wide variety of signals activate NF-??B driven gene expression through different NF-??B signaling pathways in a stimulus- and cell type-dependent manner. Due to the diverse regulatory mechanisms acting on NF-??B, the signal dependent activation of NF-??B remains a challenging area of research.

Applicants should have good communication skills in English.
•        Ph.D. students applicants should have B.S. degree in Biology/Biochemistry or related field; have related wet-lab working experiences.
•        Postdoc applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in biological sciences or related fields. Expertise in cloning, protein purification, and x-ray crystallography is a must. Experience with cell culture, cell assays, and other molecular biology techniques is a plus. Applicants should also have positive work attitude, good organization, and communication skills, and are highly motivated and self-initiated, capable of independently performing in-depth research, multi-tasking along with problem-solving expertise and good team player. Previous publications related to protein crystallography, biochemistry, etc. in international peer reviewed journals are a prerequisite. The postdoctoral fellow will also help maintain the lab and provide technical supports and supervisions to the graduate students.

建议:有兴趣的话直接发邮件与导师联系,教授们是不会长期泡小木虫回帖的,而且发帖的或许只是一些学生,等回帖再决定下一步的基本上都不会有好结果~

可以用英语六级申请。本科毕业院校最好为双一流院校,或所在专业为双一流专业
