2016 Master program on Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Radboud University

New Master BA Specialisation Innovation & Entrepreneurship! As innovation and entrepreneurship are very important and appealing topics in nowadays economy and society, we have started a new program revolving Innovation and Entrepreneurship in September 2015 within the framework of a so-called Flexible Masters Program/Vrije Master. This program was created using already existing courses focusing on these topics. 30 very enthusiastic students started with this Flexible Masters Program and are now writing their final thesis in the area of Innovation or/and Entrepreneurship! In October 2016 the program has been approved by the department of Business Administration as an official Master Specialization! Of course we found it important to learn from this ‘pilot year’ and to improve the program, and therefore we have developed 2 new courses: one called Entrepreneurship & Finance (in the second period), as it is very important to know which financial sources to use when setting up and growing a company, and one called Innovation & Entrepreneurship in Context (period 1). The latter is the ‘flagship’ course, and highlights the role of innovation and entrepreneurial behavior in the creation of new business and the further development of existing companies within their context. Accordingly, the most important stakeholders, networks and opportunity structures are taken into account, to better understand how innovation and entrepreneurship work in practice.
