In the past decades, carbon dots becomes the focus of study due to its low price and good biocompatibility. This article, carbon dots was fabricated using carbohydrates as carbon source in pure ethylene glycol or Glycerin, under the condition of 9h, 170oC. UV and fluorescence were used to analysis the optical properties of carbon dots. And the optimum combinition to fabricate carbon dots under this condition is determined, with ethylene glycol as a solvent and sucrose as a carbon source. By changing time and temperature, the optimum combinition was confirmed, 153oC and 9h, repectively. Thus, the optimum experimental conditions was fund out to fabricate carbon dots, with sucrose as a carbon source and ethylene glycol as a solvent.
