The compressive creep curves of as-cast Mg-5 lanthanum-praseodymium-cerium alloy were tested under different temperatures and stresses, and high-temperature creep behaviour of as-cast Mg-5 lanthanum-praseodymium-cerium alloy was discussed. The results show that the microstructure of as-cast Mg-5 lanthanum-praseodymium-cerium alloy consists of alpha-Mg solid solution and beta-MgxLa phase. La enriches at grain boundary and forms MgxLa intermetallic compound by reacting with alpha-Mg. The working temperature of Mg-5 lanthanum-praseodymium-cerium alloy is determined from room temperature to 473 K under the compressive stress of 85.9-117.1 MPa.
