The glycine ethyl ester hydrochloride ，triethylamine and dichloromethanewere taken in a round bottom flask and stirred magnetically for 15 min. at ambient temperature. The aldehyde and anhydrous magnesium sulphate were added and the content was stirred at room temperature for overnight. Completion of the reaction was confirmed by monitoring TLC. The post reaction mixture was filtered and solvent was removed in a rotary evaporator under reduced pressure at room temperature. The thick residue was triturated with ether and the triethylamine-hydrochloride salt was filtered off. The filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure and cooled to remove remaining part of the salt. The mother liquor was concentrated under reduced pressure to obtain desired aldimine as a reddish-yellow semisolid. 主要是从 The thick residue 翻译，后面这部分不太理解，附上全部翻译 |
