气体挥发物收集仪器 求助

Virgin adults were carefully coaxed into the top half of a two-piece cylindrical glass aeration chamber (20 cm long × 7.5 cm diam) lined with window screen for the bugs to perch on, and with an O-ring sealed center joint. A few green beans and sunflower seeds were added for food, the chamber was fitted with an activated charcoal filter and humidifier (made from a glass tube filled with water-soaked glass wool) on the inlet end, and a volatiles collector fashioned from a glass tube (4 mm ID) with a 1-cm-long bed of activated charcoal (50-200 mesh, precleaned by thermal desorbtion at 200°C under N2; Fisher Scientific, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) and held in place by glass wool plugs. Air was pulled through the apparatus (flow 400 ml/min) for one to five days. The charcoal collector was then eluted with pentane (3 x 0.2 ml).
