资源简介
基因组数据库1990年初建于美国霍普金斯大学,是一个专门汇集存储人类基因  组数据的数据库,其中包括了全球范围内致力于人类 DNA结构和100,000人类基因序列研究的分析成果。对从事相关领域的研究人员具有重要的参考作用。
   目前,该库包括以下多种内容:
人类基因组,包括基因、克隆、断裂点、细胞遗传标记物、易断位点,重复片段等。人类基因组示意图, 包括细胞遗传图关联图,辐射杂交图、综合图等。人类基因组内的变异, 包括基因突变和基因多态性,还有等位基因发生频次等数据资料。该数据库为文理中心和北京大学生命科学学院国家蛋白质重点实验室联合引进,在北京大学图书馆设立了镜像服务器。

Find ESTs on 11q13?
Go to...
GDB Home -> Search Options -> Search for Markers and Genes Within a Region
Fill in...
(Step 1) Retrieve markers: contained in the region within 11q13.
(Step 2) Check: ESTs
Press Submit
Click on the GDB Accession ID in the table of results to see the detail view for any returned markers.
To view results graphically
Click here to display results in Mapview.

Fill in...
(Step 1) Retrieve markers within 1 megabase around APC
(Step 2) Check: Search for polymorphisms only
(Step 3) Select from the list of Variation Types: Trinucleotide Repeats
Fill in Max Het >= .5.
Press Submit
Click on the GDB Accession ID in the table of results to see the detail view for any returned markers.
To view results graphically
Click here to display results in Mapview.

Click on the GDB Accession ID in the table of results to see the detail view for any returned markers.

Find all YAC clones on the short arm of chromosome 21:
Go to...
GDB Home -> Search Options -> Search for Markers and Genes Within a Region
Fill in...
(Step 1) Retrieve markers: contained in the region between 21pter and 21cen.
(Step 2) Check: Clones
Select from the list of Vector Types: YAC
Press Submit
Click on the GDB Accession ID in the table of results to see the detail view for any returned markers.
To view results graphically
Click here to display results in Mapview.

Find ZNF Genes and display them graphically:
Go to...
GDB Home -> Search Options -> Genes
Select mapview from the output format menu
Fill in attributes...
Symbol/Names:ZNF*

Press Submit
Mapview will automatically be started displaying Zinc Finger Genes adjacent to the chromosome ideograms.

GDB Home -> Search Options -> Search Genes by Attribute
Select long form from the top of the Gene query form.
Fill in attributes...
Cytogenetic Localization:
Chromosome:19

Homologies: MGD* (for mouse) or Flybase* (for fly) or SGD* (for yeast)

Press Submit
Click on the GDB Accession ID in the table of results to see the detail view for any returned markers.
To view all results graphically
Select Mapview from the output format menu at the top of the query form

Find Genes in the PAX family:
Go to...
GDB Home -> Search Options -> Search Genes by Attribute
Fill in attributes...
Families:
Select the  button to the right of the Families: attribute. In the resulting Gene Family query form, submit the empty form and then click the check box to the left of the desired family in the list of results (in this example: PAX). The checked value will be brought over to your Gene query form.

Press Submit
Click on the GDB Accession ID in the table of results to see the detail view for any returned markers.
To view all results graphically
Select Mapview from the output format menu at the top of the query form

Find information about a particular D-number:
Go to...
GDB Home (Simple Search)
Fill in Simple Search...
Search Genomic Segments by Name/ID: D-number
Press Submit
One or more objects with the entered D-number will be returned. To view the detailed information on an object, select the Accession ID (of the form GDB:123456) in the table of results.
From the detail you can access additional information by following External Links, Nucleic Acid Sequence, Citations, etc.

Find a marker or gene which corresponds to a sequence ID in one of the sequence databases:
Go to...
GDB Home (Simple Search)
Fill in Simple Search...
Search Genomic Segments by DNA Sequence ID: < sequence id >
Press Submit
If there is more than one Genomic Segment matching the sequence accession ID, a table containing those segments will be returned. If there is only one match, you will go directly to the detail for that Genomic Segment.

Find D-numbers associated with a particular marker (Genomic Segment):
Go to...
GDB Home (Simple Search)
Fill in Simple Search...
Search Genomic Segments by Name/ID: marker name
Press Submit
If more than one Genomic Segment is returned, the table containing these segments includes all the names and aliases, including D-numbers, for each one. If only one segment matched the search, its detail view is returned showing all the names and aliases.

Find sequenced Clones between two known markers:
Go to...
GDB Home -> Search Options -> Search Clones by Attribute -> Long Query Form
Fill in attributes...

Click on the GDB Accession ID in the table of results to see the detail view for any returned markers.
