In actual application, it is very important for probe to perform highly selective recognition on objects. In this experiment, we tested response performance of probe T2 on various common ions, so as to determined the object that can be recognized by probe T2. According to the UV spectrum in Fig.3-1a, it can observe that probe T2 displays no ultraviolet absorption peak at 562nm, however after adding double amount of equivalent Cu2+ solution, it can observe a significantly increased absorbance at 562nm as well as solution color changing from colorless to orange red. Under the same condition, through adding the same amount of K+, Na+, Ca2+, Mg2+, Zn2+, Cd2+, Mn2+, Pb2+, Fe3+, respectively, it can observe that probe T2 displays no ultraviolet absorption peaks, also the solution color remains unchanged. After adding Cu2+ solution, this probe changed from colorless to pink accompanying orange red fluorescence. Compared with situation before adding Cu2+ solution, there is now an intensive emission band accompanying with increased fluorescence after adding Cu2+ solution; however by other cation solutions, the system is of no significant fluorescence change. This indicates that probe T2 is of sound selectivity to Cu2+ in DMF system, therefore this probe can be used as an unaided eye chemical sensor for Cu2+ recognition. |
