审稿人据稿，但编辑给了大修，不知道怎么修？

In this work, xerogels' formation in the hydrolysis and condensation of tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) was studied by varying pH with the basic catalysts (n-octylamine, dodecylamine and tetradecylamine), respectively. The effect of different templates in the formation of xerogels was investigated and characterized by FTIR, N2 physisorption, TG-DSC and SEM analysis. In reviewer's opinion, this paper is not suitable for publication in xxxx because the content reported in this manuscript lacks novelty and is not important.
