关于J1和J2报税问题求助 已有3人参与

各位同仁，您们好！ 本人2015年4月份以J1身份赴美在华盛顿大学做博士后，老公与我同行，并于2015年09月在华盛顿州立大学 找到工作工作至今。我目前是免税状态，老公是J2签证+EAD工作交税，请问我们俩是分开来报税还是应该联合报税？ 谢谢啦！ |

https://www.irs.gov/individuals/international-taxpayers/foreign-students-and-scholars 如上IRS说明，国内收入和美国银行利息收入是不需要FILING的。 Who Must File Filing IS required by nonresident alien students and scholars who have: A taxable scholarship or fellowship, as described in Chapter 1 of Publication 970, Tax Benefits for Education; Income partially or totally exempt from tax under the terms of a tax treaty; and/or Any other income, which is taxable under the Internal Revenue Code. Filing IS NOT required by nonresident alien students and scholars who have income ONLY from: Foreign sources; Interest Income from a: U.S. bank U.S. savings & loan institution U.S. credit union U.S. insurance company |
