513-1 deoxidizing catalyst directions 511-1 deoxidizing agent is a kind of highly efficient product which has the good characteristics of no hydrogenation, no isomerization, and no evident decrease of deoxidizing ability after several times of regeneration, thus making it proper in the production of super pure gas in chemical engineering, electronics, metallurgy industries, especially for the production of nitrogen, inert gas, and carbon dioxide. The main active components of 511-1 deoxidizing agent is MnO2. Activation before use: The deoxidizing agent was charged into a reactor, and the air in the system was thoroughly removed by inert gas. Pure nitrogen or other inert gas was flowed with the air flow rate of 150-300hr, and the reactor was heated to make the temperature of deoxidizing agent gradually rise to 280-320 oC, then the temperature was kept for 1 hr. Mixed nitrogen/hydrogen gases (10-20% hydrogen) was charged at the rate of 150-300hr. Water gas emitted from vent outlet due to rise of temperature and the charge of hydrogen. The activating process was conducted gradually through gas flow orientation [when fluidized bed runaway (temperature should be no more than 350 oC) occured because of inappropriate hydrogen volume, the hydrogen flow must be shut off immediately and cold nitrogen was flowed at 600h rate till the temperature decreased to 320 oC, mixed nitrogen/hydrogen gases can be charged again]. When the activited layer moved from one side to the other, no water gas emitted in vent outlet, which suggested the accomplishment of activation operation. Stop nitrogen flow, keep hydrogen flow for another 1hr. Stop hydrogen flow, and remove thoroughly hydrogen gas in the system by nitrogen. Then, shut off electrical power and gases source to finish activating operations (activation time usually needs 6-8 hours), and the instrument was sealed for use. Deoxidizing cleaning: After activation, unclean gas can be flowed at any time for cleaning, and the deoxidizing agent starts to work. |
