the application of C-98 Arsenic removal catalyst in industrial devices
the application of C-98 Arsenic removal catalyst has already been applied in domestic  petrochemical enterprises such as the 50,000 tons/year propylene plant catalytic arsenic removal unit in Shanghai Petrochemical's shares. Using this
Arsenic removal catalyst , the 600¡«700ppb arsenic compounds in Propylene can be reduced to lower than 10ppb, which meets the requirement for industrial production of Polypropylene. This catalyst was awarded  third award of scientific and technological progress in Sinopec and has already been applied in indtustrial Polypropylene production devices in PetroChina Dalian Petrochemical, Hainan refinery, Yueyang Petrochemical, Jiujiang petrochemical and Jingmenoil refinery, etc.

Applications of C-98 propylene de-arsenic catalyst in plants

Propylene de-arsenic catalyst has been widely used by many domestic petrochemical companies, SINOPEC SHANGHAI PETROCHEMICAL COMPANY LIMITED¡¯s 50,000 tons/a propylene production line, for example, adopts C-98 propylene catalyst in its de-arsenic unit. The content of arsenide was decreased from 600-700ppb to less than 10ppb, and the de-arsenic propylene could satisfy the requirements of Polypropylene plant. The product awarded Third prize of scientific and technological progress of Sinopec,  and was promoted the use in affiliates of China National Petroleum Corporation, Dalian Petrochemical, Hainan Refinery, Yueyang Petrochemical, Jiujiang Petrochemical, Jingmen Refinery etc.  

Cautions
The raw material imported with Sulphur content higher than 2ppm, can used as de-arsenic catalyst but less effection.

The pressure in de-arsenic reactor should be maintained when the system breaks Temporarily to prevent the reactor from moisture absorption. Dried N2 may be used as a substitution and pressure maintainer in reactor if necessary.

The reactor should be emptied by dried N2 before system stop to renew propylene de-arsenic catalyst. Gas mask should applied when handling the de-arsenic catalyst waste.

Content of arsenic in de-arsenic catalyst should not be too high in favor of recycling, commonly controlled at 2-5%,

The presure of reactor for arsenic removal should be maintained at a certain value when the system temporarilly parked, preventing from the negative presure causing water absorption. If necessarily, nitrogen dryer exchange reactor could be used with keeping presure.

Cautions
Can be used for arsenic removal when Sulphur content of the raw material is higher than 2ppm, but the As removal efficiency will be slightly affected.

The pressure in de-arsenic reactor should be maintained when the system endures a temporary break in order to prevent the moisture absorption  of reactors due to negative pressure. Dry nitrogen replacement reactor can be used if neccesary and the pressure should be maintained.

Dry nitrogen replacement reactor should be used before replacement of catalyst. Gas mask should be equipped when handling the de-arsenic catalyst waste.
