Abstract: A practical elasto-brittle-plastic constitutive model based on H-B criterion which can simulate both pre-peak damage and post-peak damage characteristics of rock mass was proposed. Pre-peak behavior was simulated by assuming different elastic constants which were expressed in terms of confining pressure in each damage level and brittle plasticity which can consider softening property was used to simulate post-peak behavior of rock mass. All parameters needed in H-B criterion for both in pre-peak and post-peak stage of the model were obtained by making regression analysis with data get from triaxial compression experiment under high confining pressure and hydraulic pressure. Then based on Biot's theory, this model was applied to analysis the deep-lying diversion tunnel of Jinping Hydropower Station under water table, and the numerical results can show the regions of plastic zones and changes of permeability in the excavation disturbed zone during construction which matched some in-situ experiment observations.
