中科院上海硅酸盐所联合北京大学、美国宾夕法尼亚大学展开持续攻关。黄富强研究团队最终发现,石墨烯是超级电容器电极的最佳选择。研制出一种高性能超级电容器电极材料——氮掺杂有序介孔石墨烯。该材料具有极佳的电化学储能特性,可用作电动车的“超强电池”:充电只需7秒钟,即可续航35公里。
Carbon-based supercapacitors can provide high electrical power, but they do not have sufficient energy density to directly compete with batteries.We found that a nitrogen-doped ordered mesoporous few-layer carbon has a capacitance of 855 farads per gram in aqueous electrolytes and can be bipolarly charged or discharged at a fast, carbon-like speed. The improvement mostly stems from robust redox reactions at nitrogen-associated defects that transform inert graphene-like layered carbon into an electrochemically active substance without affecting its electric conductivity. These bipolar aqueous-electrolyte electrochemical cells offer power densities and lifetimes similar to those of carbon-based supercapacitors and can store a specific energy of 41 watt-hours per kilogram (19.5 watt-hours per liter).![science 1218 氮参杂介孔碳用于电化学能量贮存超级电容器]()
