近两日收到一份邮件，说是邀请我做为reviewer for Zentralblatt MATH，不知道这个是干嘛的，请各位指教一下，我是否答应？望大家能踊跃发言，小弟在此谢过。 下面是邮件： Dear Colleague, This letter is to cordially invite you to become a reviewer for Zentralblatt MATH. You might know that Zentralblatt MATH (zbMATH) is the most comprehensive and most traditional reviewing service in mathematics, which provides reviews of peer-reviewed published articles and books in all fields of mathematics. Handling about 120,000 documents annually we have to rely on the permanent support by experienced experts from all over the world, providing us with high quality reviews of these mathematical publications. I am aware that reviewing mathematical papers amounts to extra work for the reviewers. But please note that this extra work is a valuable service to the mathematical community and is highly appreciated by your colleagues. The reviewers benefit from the fact that they regularly receive major publications in their field and that they obtain a great visibility in the community by means of their reviews. Books and articles to be reviewed will be sent to you via normal mail unless you explicitly requested or agreed to get review material as e-mail attachment in PDF format. Please understand that the latter will not always be possible, due to lack of availability or copyright restrictions of the respective publishers. The reviews are not supposed to serve as a replacement for peer-reviewing. They should rather give a well-balanced description of the content of the paper within the context of the current developments of the corresponding subject area. Reviewers have, in principle, no responsibility for checking the correctness or novelty of the original, but if they discover that it contains a significant error or that it overlaps significantly with other work, they should mention the fact. References to related work are always appreciated. If you agree, we would like to know - in as much detail as possible - 1. from which mathematical subjects you would like to write reviews and give additional keywords if appropriate - you may also specify your interests as primary or secondary according to your level of expertise) 2. your zbMATH author identifier (you can check this Author-ID and your author profile at XXXX 3. which languages belong to your reading capabilities (including your native one) 4. whether you are willing to receive review material as e-mail attachment in PDF format if available 5. how many review items you would accept to have at a time (suggestion: 2-4; default limit is 4) 6. your complete postal and e-mail address The reviews should be written preferably in English; reviews in French or German will be accepted, too.
