Postdoctoral Researcher and Ph.D. Student Opening in Energy Storage

A postdoctoral position and two Ph.D. students opening are available in the Department of Electrical Engineering and TcSUH at the University of Houston for research on electrochemical energy conversion and storage. Specific topics of research include solid-state batteries and organic/polymeric electrode materials. We are seeking highly motivated candidates with any background (organic chemistry, electrochemistry, materials chemistry, materials science, and mechanical engineering, etc.). For the postdoc position, previous experience with battery fabrication is highly desirable. Experience with organic and inorganic materials synthesis and characterization, thin film deposition, and/or mechanical and electrochemical testing is also desired.
