The significance of studying thermal properties under high temperature condition is no doubt. There are great significances on in situ thermal properties research for improving thermal physical properties under high pressure condition; studies of novel (thermoelectric) materials; explorations of the structure of geodynamics, geological evolution and earth interior material In Geophysics, as well as Structural transformation of materials under high temperature and high pressure,.etc. The earliest experimental method for measuring mineral high thermal conductivity is steady state radial heat flow method, which is also known as concentric cylinder method introduced by Bridgman(1924). The sample was made into a hollow cylinder. Linear heat source was placed in the center of cylinder, and Heat dissipation materials were wrapped outside the cylinder sample. Loading constant power current to heat source could produce stable heat flow and ultimately have stable temperature field. Thermocouple on the inner and outer surface of the sample is arranged to measure the temeprature differrences of the two interfaces. According to the temeprature differrence and heating power, as well as the cylinder diameter to one-dimentional heat flow conduction equation derived by Fourier law, the sample’s thermal conductivity can be calculated. This method has a larger thermal resistance, and plastic flow of the plastic pressure transmission medium under high pressure will lead to uncertainty of the two thermocouple spacing.
