In order to improve the operational capability under complex terrain and high-risk environment, it proposes a system which is based on machine vision. It can obtain image information by the machine vision system, and conduct a series of mathematical morphology processings for thresholding, refining and image segmentation of images by using VC++ programming and with the aid of OpenCV library; It completes the task by using image processing for getting digital image information. The experimental results show that the system improves the ability and adaptability of equipments under complex terrain and high risk environment,so it has a certain application value.
