Atomic layer deposition (ALD) is a cyclic process which relies on sequential self-terminating reactions between gas phase precursor molecules and a solid surface. The self-limiting nature of the chemical reactions ensures precise film thickness control and excellent step coverage, even on 3D structures with large aspect ratios. At present, ALD is mainly used in the microelectronics industry, e.g. for growing gate oxides. The excellent conformality that can be achieved with ALD also renders it a promising candidate for coating porous structures, e.g. for functionalization of large surface area substrates for catalysis, fuel cells, batteries, supercapacitors, filtration devices, sensors, membranes etc. This tutorial review focuses on the application of ALD for catalyst design. Examples are discussed where ALD of TiO2 is used for tailoring the interior surface of nanoporous films with pore sizes of 4–6 nm, resulting in photocatalytic activity. In still narrower pores, the ability to deposit chemical elements can be exploited to generate catalytic sites. In zeolites, ALD of aluminium species enables the generation of acid catalytic activity. 原子层沉积（ALD）是一种基于两种气相前驱体与固体在表面顺序性的自限性反应的循环过程。 化学反应的自限性能够实现膜厚度的精确控制，即使在深宽比很大的三维结构上也能够使薄膜 具有优异阶梯覆盖性。当前，ALD主要应用于微电子工业，比如生长栅极氧化物。ALD优异的 保形性使得其在覆盖多孔结构（比如使大比表面积的基底功能化进而用于催化，燃料电池，电池， 超级电容器，过滤装置，传感器，薄膜等等）方面具有非常大的潜力。本综述集中于ALD在催化剂 设计上的应用。以ALD修饰具有4-6纳米孔道的薄膜为例子，TiO2可以生长在孔的内表面，当生长上 TiO2之后，此薄膜具有了光催化活性。在孔径更小的材料上沉积化学元素可以产生催化活性位。 在分子筛上，ALD沉积Al2O3可以产生酸性活性位。 最近ALD貌似比较火，特献一篇综述~~~~~  题目：Tailoring nanoporous materials by atomic layer deposition年份：2011年 [ Last edited by 火凤翱翔 on 2015-12-4 at 13:37 ] |
