The MS in Mechanical Engineering program is design-oriented and industry-related for the practicing mechanical engineer. Courses provide a foundation in basic theory of modern engineering methods and problem-solving skills. The Ph.D. in Engineering program emphasizes excellence, innovation and integrity in research, scholarship and education. Courses and research projects reflect the specialties of the Department’s highly distinguished and dedicated faculty, many of whom are nationally recognized leaders in their disciplines of thermal sciences, mechanics & materials, dynamics & controls, bioengineering and nanotechnology. Funded Positions for Doctoral Studies: Funded positions are available for doctoral studies in mechanical engineering at Villanova.  Each position includes full tuition plus a monthly stipend to assist with living expenses.
