Technische Universität Dresden, Faculty of Science At the Department of Physics, Institute of Theoretical Physics is available a Member of academic staff / Postdoctoral Position in the research group of Prof. Dr. Carsten Timm, starting December 1, 2008 for a duration of 3 years. The period of employment is governed by the Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz). Payment is according to the nationally agreed scale E 13 TV-L. Responsibilities: Resarch in the project „Master equation for electronic transport through molecules“, which is funded by the German Science Foundation (DFG), in particular methodological developments in the master-equation formalism and its application to specific systems in collaboration with experimental groups. Requirements: Ph.D. degree in theoretical physics; ability and motivation for doing outstanding research independently and in collaborations. Applications from women are particularly welcome.
