3、单位:Department of Biochemical Engineering, University College London (UCL)
项目简介:
The $200BN biopharmaceutical market is predicted to grow at 15%a year, but to achieve this new manufacturing technologies need to be developed. The key bottleneck in current production is purification which accounts for around 60% of current processing costs. Addressing these purification limitations is vital to be able to supply the world with the next generation of transformative therapies at affordable prices.

The post holder will be required to carry out research and development in the area of characterisation of novel chromatographic materials for the purification of protein therapeutics and viral vectors. This will include designing and running experiments, recording, analysing, writing up the results, including publications and conference presentations.

The research is a collaborative effort with Puridify (http://puridify.com/) and successful interaction will be critical in meeting the goals of the programme. While based at UCL travel to Stevenage (Puridify) may be required.
There are two positions for this post: one is funded for 12 months and the other for 21 months in the first instance. When applying for the post, please let us know which position you are applying for.

A postgraduate degree in relevant subject area, and in particular bioanalytical methods related to biotherapeutic manufacture is required, as is knowledge of relevant research techniques.

4、单位: MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge UK

项目简介:
The MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology is one of the birthplaces of molecular biology and is an internationally renowned centre for fundamental biomedical research.

The LMB has a strong track record in training Postdoctoral Fellows who have gone on to become leading Scientists. We also have an excellent record of innovative basic research leading to applications in medicine. Scientists are drawn to the LMB from all over the world, thus creating a lively and international community for the exchange of ideas and technical innovation. Following our move to a new laboratory in 2013, we are able to provide state-of-the-art facilities in which innovative medical research, translation and collaboration can flourish.

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Scientist position in the group of Dr Ingo Greger to study AMPA-glutamate receptor-mediated synaptic plasticity. In collaboration with Professors Ole Paulsen (Cambridge University) and Jason Chin (MRC LMB) the project is aimed at elucidating AMPA receptor dynamics during synaptic plasticity using orthogonal chemistry, electrophysiology and super-resolution microscopy techniques. For this interdisciplinary project, candidates should have a PhD and good experience with electrophysical recordings as well as imaging techniques. Successful applicants will be awarded a 3-year Career Development Fellowship/MRC Postdoctoral Training Scheme. The fellowship is a training and development position for a post-doctoral scientist who has recently completed their doctoral studies, or is moving into a new research discipline.

5、单位: Department of Chemistry, University of Cambridge
项目简介:
Research Associate: Novel Tools in Computational Materials Science (Fixed Term).

A position is open for a Post Doctoral Research Associate (PDRA) at the Chemistry Department of the University of Cambridge under the supervision of Prof. Daan Frenkel and Dr Gabor Csanyi. The project is part of the Novel Materials Discovery (NoMaD) consortium funded by the EU Horizon 2020 programme.

Part of the NoMaD project is the creation and curationof a large database of atomistic and molecular configurations, including electronic structure data, molecular dynamics trajectories, etc. The PDRA will develop large scale structural analytics tools with which this dataset can be understood, navigated, and used for the extraction of collective variables, order parameters and free energies, etc. Molecular descriptors need to be adapted for use with large scale datasets and new ones designed. The PDRA will participate in setting the research direction within this scope, carry out the work including programming, run the algorithms on high performance computers and participate in disseminating the results in the form of papers and seminars at workshops and conferences.

The candidate is expected to have experience with atomistic simulations (first principles or statistical mechanics), and to be able to demonstrate strong programming skills. The successful candidate will hold, or be about to obtain, a PhD in a relevant discipline (i.e. chemistry, physics or applied maths).

6、单位: University of Cambridge,Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute

项目简介:
Applications are invited for a 4-year Research Assistant position within the Cellular Senescence and Tumour Suppressors Groupat the CRUK Cambridge Institute. Our group has previously made significant advances in mechanistic understanding of cellular senescence. This is an exciting opportunity to be the part of a successful group with world-class expertise in tumour suppressor mechanisms, in an exciting cancer research institute.

Cellular senescence has been linked with aging and tumorigenesis, but our understanding of senescence in vivo is limited. The specific project involves developing cell surface markers of oncogene-induced senescence in order to identify potential in vivo diagnostic and therapeutic targets. This project will combine in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo approaches to understand the development of senescence within chronically inflammed, cancer-prone tissues. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with research experience to join our group.

The successful applicant will assist in diverse techniques including, cloning & genome editing, mammalian cell culture, immunohistochemistry, microscopy and colony management. Applicants should have experience in routine molecular biology techniques and cell culture as well as in vivo methodologies. A degree in a relevant scientific discipline with previous laboratory experience will be essential; experience of the above techniques would be advantageous. A PhD degree is preferred but not required. Superb communication skills are necessary.

Please send applications in the following format: a CV, including full details of all University courses taken with date, with grades if available; a publication record if available; the names and contact details of two academic referees; a covering letter explaining why you wish to be considered for this particular role, what you will bring to the project and listing your research experience to date.
