审稿人提出数理统计方面的问题，这句话是什么意思？

最近投到一个期刊的审稿意见中，有一条统计方面的问题原话是这样的：Duncan's Multiple Range test provides a variable "critical difference value" for particular comparisons of means depending on how adjacent the means are. This test has been criticized for not providing sufficient protection against alpha slippage and should probably be avoided. 本人对数据统计分析方面不太懂，麻烦问一下这句话什么意思？是需要在“Duncan's Multiple Range test ”中增加什么分析还是什么意思？ 谢谢指教! |
