[求助] 老板给推荐了个博后机会，让我跟他认识的一个老师联系，申请啊，联系啥的怎么准备已有5人参与

楼主国内硕博，明年七月毕业，老板是博士生导师，博士在英国读的，人脉很广，认识很多人，最近，认识的一个老师给老板发了个邮件，如下
“have you seen this?
do you have any post docs who may be suitable and would want to come to UK? I'm happy to help out and provide a local base at Aston for sample prep and general assistance。”
说的是一个UK的基金，可以申请2年的博后。
然后老板跟我说了，并抄送了一份给那个老师。
“Would you be interested in this opportunity? You have experiences in NMR and neutron scattering, ISIS or Diamond light source might be a good place. If you are interested in, Dr. Richard Martin (here I am copying this to him) might help you sort out the application procedure. Please note, the deadline is 31 Oct this year.”

我表示可以试试，老板让我自己跟他联系，第一次申请这个事情，不知道该怎么跟那个老师联系，措辞啥的一律不懂，要准备些啥材料啊，急求大神指点啊！！
