The Zhu Group, Department of Chemistry, University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) 研究室介绍：https://science.utep.edu/zhu 导师介绍：Dr. Yaoqiu Zhu got his Ph.D. with Professor Richard Silverman (inventor of Pfizer’s blockbuster drug Lyrica) in Northwestern University. He then joined Abbott Laboratories as a medicinal chemistry research scientist and made direct contributions to the recently launched HCV drug Viekira Pak. After resigned from Abbott, he founded his own research laboratory and published a series of independent papers on major ACS journals about the clinical drawbacks of the cardiovascular blockbuster drug Plavix and developed novel drug candidates. Recently Dr. Zhu started his new career as an assistant professor at UTEP, focusing on developing new methodologies for biomedical research and drug discovery. 招生方向：有机合成，药物化学，生化药理 申请条件： - 有机化学或相关专业本科或硕士，GPA 3.0以上，相关专业成绩突出。 - 必须有GRE成绩；另外必须有TOEFL或IELTS成绩之一。 - 态度端正，勤奋踏实；有较好的研究室学习工作经历，有团队协作素养，善于沟通和交流，有良好的接收指令和接受指导的能力。 博士研究生录取后获得全额奖学金，第一年21000美金，逐年递增至23500美金。 最早可以2016年春季入学。 联系邮件：yzhu2@utep.edu |
