µ¥Î»: Max Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine ÏîÄ¿¼ò½é: The Max Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine has an opening for one Postdoctoral Scientist in the Molecular Neurogenetics Laboratory of Dr. Erik Storkebaum. We combine Drosophila and mouse genetics to study the molecular pathogenesis of the neurodegenerative disorders Charcot-Marie-Tooth neuropathy (CMT) and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). One project aims at elucidating the molecular mechanisms of CMT associated with mutations in tRNA synthetase genes (YARS and GARS). Another project aims at deciphering the role of RNA biogenesis in the pathogenesis of ALS. We use a combination of genetic, biochemical and next-generation sequencing approaches for our studies. We are looking for a highly motivated postdoc with a solid publication record. Experience with biochemical methods and/or Drosophila or mouse genetics is expected. Due to the international environment, good knowledge of the English language is necessary. ½ØÖ¹ÈÕÆÚ: 2015.10.30 ÁªÏµÈË: Dr. Erik Storkebaum (career@mpi-muenster.mpg.de.)
