英国访学（Oxford），外导回复让我疑惑 已有5人参与

联系牛津大学一位外导，打算申请明年的CSC，去他那里访学一年。和外导以前不认识，小方向很对口。 今天收到他的回复： Thank you for your interest in my work. I don't think we have any suitable visitor scholar positions - it's not a position that Oxford does, except a few unusual cases, and the immigration rules are very difficult to work with. Even if you are self-funded, we wouldn't be allowed (by the UK government) to give you desk space unless you have the right kind of visa, and I fear that visiting scholar positions don't qualify. Do let me know if you understand the system better than I do, but I don't think it's likely to work out. Hopefully we will meet at a conference or workshop and can discuss work then. 有几点疑惑： 1. 是不是申请英国访学，不能用visitor scholar的title，要换一个，便于顺利拿到visa，具体拿到哪类visa？ 2. Oxford是否有特殊规定？ 3. 外导是不是在用一种委婉方式在拒绝，等后期找机会见面进一步考察，最后那句话如何回复？ 先谢谢大家了！ |
