Thank you for your interest in joining my group. I had a quick look at your publications and interest. If I am not wrong, your work is mostly related to fluid-film type of bearings which we consider to be more in the line of tribology than rotor dynamics. In any case, we can continue to discuss this option in a few weeks when we start our fall semester, possibly over skype. Just wanted to say that it is possible to have post-docs from China with some support from the university but competition is a bit hard. What needs to be done is to publish appears in international journals (good ones) so that you’d have a chance to win a scholarship. Out rotordynamics activity is only a part of the lab’s activities and we are mostly concerned with dynamics and signal processing, less on heavy machinery, fyi. Let us explore the possibilities and we’ll see how it develops. |
