This collection was inspired by a symposium called "The Evolution of Analytical Sciences in the U.S.", organized by the Division of Analytical Chemistry for the American Chemical Society's national meeting in Philadelphia. The symposium will take place on Monday, August 18, 2008. In support of this symposium, the members of Analytical Chemistry's News and Features staff put together a complementary set of historical materials. |
