[交流] 套磁英国教授，收到如此回复，真心求助大家

本人博士毕业入高校第一年，尝试申请英国公派访问学者/博后位置，前段时间联系某心仪教授，收到回复如下： I have discussed your situation with Dr. *** although the situation is a little difficult because I am now attending two conferences in ***. In principle, we are willing to accommodate you at ***.  However, you need to be aware of the following problem.  My current European grant is scheduled to terminate in April 2017.  This means no funds will be available to cover any of your laboratory expenses after April 2017.  If you come to England in July 2016 for one year then this problem is not so critical.  But if you come for two years then we will have a situation where no money is available for your laboratory expenses for more than one-half of your stay in U.K. You need to think carefully how to deal with this situation.  For example, can you obtain any laboratory funds in China? I am copying *** on this message. 我在之前的套磁信中已经提到CSC，外导也对CSC有所了解。同时我提到个人更倾向于公派博后的位置（因为2年时间更长，可以更好地开展工作），以及如果申请成功我大概在明年的7月前后过去，之后就得到以上回复。我有几个问题想请教一下有经验的虫友： 1*     几次信件交流外导回复都比较快，加上上面的回复内容，能否看出外导对我申请的态度？ 2*** 信中提到的  laboratory expenses 应该是做实验做测试的费用吧？大家有没有遇到类似情况？国内有没有相关的laboratory funds？ 3**   按照信中所说，申请1年的访问学者好像问题不大，我该如何选择？如何回复？ 问题比较多，请大家不吝赐教，畅所欲言，万分感激
