Dear Dr. Xu,

We understand the difficulties that some researchers may have in
paying the required Article Processing Charges. However, since
International Journal of Polymer Science is an Open Access journal,
publishing an article in the journal requires the payment of Article
Processing Charges, which replace the normal subscription charges used
by most journals and allow us to make the full text of every published
article freely available to all interested readers. The charges are
needed in order to cover the cost of publishing the journal since we
do not collect any subscription or advertising revenue. In light of
this, we depend mainly on the Article Processing Charges in running
the journal and it is our sole income. The publication costs of an
article are paid from an author(s) research budget, or by their
supporting institution, in the form of Article Processing Charges.

Please let me know your final decision regarding paying the charges
and proceeding with you manuscript publication.
