XINTU is seeking for four new staffs in Guangzhou

On behalf of Center for Eye Research Australia, an independent medical research institute affiliated with the University of Melbourne and the Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital, Guangzhou Xintu is recruiting four new staffs (evaluation manager, research manager, training manager, and program Assistant) for the Australia-China Research Accelerator (ACRA) Program.

ACRA Program aims to help around 50 Chinese institutes (hospitals) develop their research capacity and connect them to a centralized research platform. The first phase of this project would involve set up a centralized platform for IRB and ethics management, open-source data system and human resource development coordination, as well as business development by involving at least 10 hospitals as the clients. The project will build execution team that is effective in building a new academic research organization, infrastructural development, IRB & ethics management and business development on developing client hospitals.

The project will be conducted mainly in China and expected to expand to other major eye hospitals in Asia Pacific region. The team will work based in Guangzhou and require substantial travel. The team will be recruited by Guangzhou Xintu but will be transferred their employment to a new registered research support organization once it is approved by Chinese government. The team will be the core staffs and play a leading role for the development of this new organization in China.

1. Evaluation Manager

As a member of the Leadership Team, the evaluation manager will support Program Director by leading the hospital engagement team to fulfill the Mission and Objectives of ACRA Program. You will lead the work of hospital need assessment and research capacity evaluation for ACRA Program to underpin the realization of our business plan. You will be responsible for managing our hospital relationship and delivering evaluation services as requested by hospitals.

Report to Program Director

Monthly salary: RMB 10,000~20,000
We are looking for a person with at least university qualification, preferably in health science and social science, willing to work and travel extensively in China, good interpersonal, communication, negotiation, facilitation and presentation skills, high-performing team and project leadership, ability to work independently and with minimal supervision, demonstrated ability to be adaptive and accepting of new ideas, and a willingness to approach new challenges and adjusts plans to meet new priorities, demonstrated by previous job responsibilities as a team leader, good connection with hospitals demonstrated by at least 3-years working experience in China that involves collaboration and interaction with major hospitals in China.
You will be required to providing advisory service to program director on the implementation of the project, coach and lead the hospital relationship team to achieve project goals; Establishing and maintaining effective partnerships with client hospitals; Planning, launching and running business projects with client hospitals; Ensure project objectives are met on budget and on time; Constantly monitoring and reporting on progress of the project to all stakeholders; Implementing and managing project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.

2. Research Manager

As a member of the Leadership Team, the research manager will support Program Director by leading the clinical research team to fulfill the Mission and Objectives of ACRA Program. You will lead the work of establishing a centralized research platform for ACRA Program to support clinical and translational research.

Monthly salary: RMB 10,000~20,000
We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic professional, who takes pride in producing high quality work, enjoys using initiative to add value. You will have a minimum of 3 years’ clinical research experience including extensive experience in training and capacity building organization. Experience in provision of training in a CRO environment would be highly regarded. You will also have an excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills combined with ability to network, to motivate and to delegate within a team.
You will be responsible for developing standard procedure and managing research team and for supporting clinical and translational research. You must demonstrate strong leadership skills as well as an ability to work across team boundaries. 3. Training Manager

As a member of the Leadership Team, the training manager will support Program Manager by leading the hospital capacity building team to fulfill the Mission and Objectives of ACRA Program. You will lead the work of all training design, delivery, and evaluation as well as facilitators, consultants, or trainers’ recruitment, management, and support.

Monthly salary: RMB 10,000~20,000
We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic training professional, who takes pride in producing high quality work, enjoys using initiative to add value. You will have a minimum of 5 years’ on job work in preparation and delivery of formal training. You will also have an excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills combined with ability to network, to motivate and to delegate within a team.
The successful candidate will work closely with the team to ensure targeted delivery of our comprehensive and innovative clinical training programs. As well as delivering training, the role will include identifying and co-ordinating internal and external training providers, overseeing and evaluating trainings and ensuring the delivery and the participation in training is accurately recorded and documented.

4. Program Assistant

As program assistant, you are required to perform administrative duties for executive management. Responsibilities may include screening calls; managing calendars; making travel, meeting and event arrangements; preparing reports and financial data; training and supervising volunteers or other support staff; and customer relations.

Report to Program Director

Monthly salary: RMB 5,000~10,000

We are looking for a quick learner with tight time schedule, High self-motivation to drive change in project, Good communications skills, including inter-personal, writing, and speaking, Fluent in English, oral and written, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors. Sensitivity to confidential matters may be required.

The successful candidate will work closely with the team to ensure targeted delivery of our comprehensive and innovative services to network hospitals. As well as supporting program director to manage relationship with industry and scientific partners, the role will include identifying and co-ordinating internal and external partners. All the agreements and partner information are accurately recorded and documented.
