Position Description Purpose of the Position: Adding one headcount of manufacturing control engineering function in China to fill in manufacturing software solution competency Day to Day Responsibilities: Provide software solutions to manufacturing system. Deliver results to projects that range from development to manufacturing. Advance software technology in MTE. Project involved with: May require up to 70% travel for project support mainly in Asia region. Communication with multiple stake holders such as manufacturing and engineering teams. Reporting Structure: Department Manager: MCS Manager. Direct reports: None Education & Experience Master’s degree and above in Computer Science or Information Technology. Overseas education degree is a plus. Required Skills Strong knowledge of Object Oriented design and programming (Java, C#, VBA…) Strong knowledge of Web Services, SOAP, WSDL, XML-HTTP Strong database experience (Design/Maintenance/Optimization) in a Oracle and/or SQL Server and/or MySQL environment Experience in SQL, Stored Procedures, Trigger and Tuning in a Oracle and/or SQL Server and/or MySQL environment Strong knowledge of network maintenance and troubleshooting Familiarity with using design pattern like Abstract Factory, Prototype, Adapter… Good understanding and experience in Windows server and Linux system Good understanding and experience in Embedded system Experience in Technical capacity of IMS/MES Projects (Scoping, Requirements, Design, Development and Deployment) Experience in following a structured software development process (SA/SD/Programming discipline/Test case/Test plan/Change control … ) Experience in Agile software development Good in system documenting Desired Skills Soft Skills Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create and present project related material in front of the Customer/Receiver. Able to work independently with minor supervision.
