| The larger the field intensity of the positive ions is in the glass, and the shorter the distance from the O2-, the stronger their interactions with the O2- network. The strong interactions, along with that in the coordinated Al-O and Si-O bonds weaken the bonding force, thus decreasing the binding force of Si4+ and Al3+ to O2-, and leading to the deformation of the original tetrahedral network structure of [SiO4] and [AlO4]. |
