The Stem Cell and Tissue Engineering Laboratory, Biomedical Engineering Program, College of Engineering, University of Arkansas has a graduate assistantship (Ph.D.) available immediately. This candidate will work on a NSF funded research project on directed differentiation of human embryonic stem cell into clinical relevant cell lineages. The candidate who has experience in three-dimensional embryonic stem cell culture, tissue engineering, gene profiling, immunohistochemistry, immunoassay, molecular cell biology, fluorescence microscopy, electron microscopy, flow cytometry, real-time PCR assay, etc. will be preferred. For a particularly excellent candidate who has a GRE score higher than 1300 and a writing score higher than 5.5 and a Master¡¯s GPA higher than 3.85 or a B.S.¡¯ GPA higher than 3.65, a Distinguished Doctoral Fellowship (DDF) will also be available. The DDF plus GA will range from $30,000/year to $40,000/year for up to four years.
