Based on the analysis from www.sciencewatch.com In the past few years, the Output and Impact of china's science is rising significantly. In 2007, the output of the papers is only next to USA. Here is the comment from the analysis "Accelerating a trend noted in Science Watch® four years ago, the People's Republic of China has in recent years dramatically increased its output of scientific papers, while also seeing the citation impact of those papers steadily rise.
