Dear Dr XXX, Myself and Dr. Prashant Srivastava (NASA Goddard, USA) were recently contracted with Elsevier to edit a volume entitled “Sensitivity Analysis In Earth Observation Modelling”, to be published end of 2015. The book will compile approximately 20 chapters and aims to gather selected case studies on which SA has been implemented on EO data in any way. In this framework, it comprises original works concerned with the development or exploitation of diverse SA methods applied to different EO data types or modelling techniques. These include -but not limited to- synergies of EO data with models, EO operational products validation, EO algorithms benchmarking and SA software tools developments where relevant. Both applied and theoretical research contributions with particular emphasis on contemporary approaches or EO data exploitation are welcomed. I am writing to invite you to participate to the book with a chapter. Kindly let us know if you agree to contribute to the book by this coming Tuesday, July 28th. A copy of your chapter will need to be submitted by October 9th, if at all possible (?). I will be able to send you further guidelines on the chapter preparation once I receive your confirmation. All chapters will go through a peer-review and a possible revision before they may be accepted for inclusion. Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.
