班门弄斧，怒答一题。 不是化学专业出身，专业词汇楼主可以百度下，这个应该好懂。我就梳理下句子结构，结构清楚了，自然而然句子就好懂了。 这个句子，层次分明，句型不复杂。主+谓+滨+介宾短语，+非谓语的结果状语 主： the proposed large extent of the H • abstraction 谓： eliminates 滨： the addition of • OH to C4 介宾短语：despite （介词）the well-known high electron affinity in purines 非谓语的结果状语：making the • OH addition an energetically favoured reaction。 making是非谓语，后面接个宾语+宾语补足语 连起来就是： A会怎么怎么样B，尽管C怎么怎么样，这会使得D怎么怎么样 |
