如何理解编辑的“submit a clean copy“和”indicate where changes have been made“ 已有2人参与

本虫之前投了elsevier 旗下一个期刊，大修后编辑返回意见，有两句话不是很明白，贴在此处，还请大虫们指点一二 ”Please submit a clean copy of the final version along with the author response to the points raised in the below review. A final decision will be made after receiving the revised version and your response. Please clearly indicate where changes have been made, for example by using a different colour. If you are using MS Word, you can highlight changes using the "Track Changes" feature. In 'Tools', choose 'Track Changes', 'Highlight Changes' and tick 'Track changes while editing'.” 前面说提交a clean copy of final version,不就是说稿子上不要有标记吗？那下文中为啥又要求indicate the changes。 我想，是不是要提交两个文件，一个是修改后的最终的要出版的手稿；一个是marked manuscript，方便编辑查看修改部位？ 还请大虫们赐教 |
