As in the past, ICDCN 2016 will be organized in two tracks: Distributed Computing and Networking, and will comprise a highly selective technical program consisting of refereed submitted papers, panel discussions as well as focused workshops on emerging topics. Conference papers will be published in the ACM Digital Library. Submission and formatting instructions, as well as relevant deadlines, are available at the ICDCN Website. *********************Topics of Interest********************************** Papers describing original research work and practical experiences/experimental results are solicited on topics that tentatively include, but are not limited to: Distributed Computing Track Networking Track * Distributed algorithms & concurrent data structures: * Ad-hoc, sensor, PAN and mesh networks design, analysis, and complexity * Internetworking protocols & Internet applications * Distributed operating systems * Cellular networks (4G/LTE) * Distributed database systems * Network virtualization * Embedded distributed systems * Data center and cloud networking * Experimental evaluation of distributed systems * Software-defined and cognitive networks * Fault-tolerance, reliability, and availability * Mobile and pervasive computing and networking * Multiprocessor & multi-core architectures & algorithms * Next generation & converged network architectures * Self-organization, self-stabilization, & autonomic computing * Overlay & peer-to-peer networks and services * High performance computing, grid computing * Network security & privacy & cloud computing * Energy-efficient networking & Smart Grids * Security, cryptography, & game theory in distributed systems * Pricing and network economics * Internet-scale distributed systems * Visible light communications * Backscatter and ultra-low power networks ************************************************************************************************************** Best Paper Awards and Special Issues: The ICDCN TPC plans to award a Best Paper Award, independently for each of the two tracks. The authors of selected papers in the Distributed Computing track will be invited to submit an extended version of their paper for publication in Theoretical Computer Science (TCS - A) journal, Elsevier. The authors of selected best papers in the Networking track will be invited to submit an extended version of their paper for publication in Pervasive and Mobile Computing (PMC), journal, Elsevier.
